Grandpa Giles Loved to Fish!

My Grandpa Giles came from very little and became a huge success in life. He was insanely confident and didn't shy away from telling you about his accomplishments. He was a gold glove boxer, he played football at the University of Texas, he was a marine, he was very successful in business, he was an excellent fisherman and hunter, he was a great provider, Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa.

Left to right- Alan, Don and Dale Giles (they didn't catch and release in these days..)

He pushed hard for all of his kids/grand kids to go to college. He would drill it into our heads from a young age how important college was and growing up I always knew I would go to college because that is what Grandpa preached and expected.

Grandpa and Gay Gay hanging out with Rocco.

 Grandpa with a huge Salmon

He once caught a 48 lbs. steel head trout. He would have had the world record but he cut it in half so it would fit in his cooler!!!

What a rich and adventurous life that took him all over the world. What a great example he set.

Thanks,
Chris Giles
