When the kids go to Church, Dad goes fishing...

Ran into a guy at the access that had driven that morning from Casper Wyoming to fish my home stretch. Thinking about all the rivers he passed to get here made me want to scratch my eyes out but later that day I realized why a feller may make that trip....

Its a great river with great fish!

The picture doesn't do it justice but what a fight he put on...

Ideal flows and the fish were happy. As was I..

Streamer and nymph rig hit the spot.

Can you correctly identify the animal in the picture? If so please let me know and I will send you a free gift!!!! haha
Cheers,
Chris Giles

Lakes can be fun too!

Sometimes you have to pinch yourself, if that doesn't work you roll the window down and slap your self across the face! Life can be so good!

McGuin and I were catching these fish on Hoppers and Streamers.

This lake can be very tricky. Some days (most days) you get Skunked. But when its on its on. We both caught 3 fish all over 20".

The stuff of dreams. Might of caught a few more had it not been for early hook set... When you sight cast to these guys it can make a grown man tremble!

This guy took a Hopper. 5lbs. at least and 23-24"

 The fight.

If you haven't rolled the window down lately and slapped yourself please do. Life can be so good...

Lyman Wyoming and Adventures in the Wild

We took the T-rex and drove the 6 miles to dinner in the new street legal T-rex.
We make an annual pilgrimage to Lyman Wyoming every 24th of July for a family reunion with Ashley's folks. The proud Platte family hails from the Bridger Valley and its great to re-connect with the kin every year.

We always stay at the Gateway Inn. I picked up the USA vs Japan rugby match on my big screen. What a game! Took in the All-Blacks vs South Africa the next morning with Garreth. Another great game. USA and New Zealand were the victors.

Ash and her sister "Tia" at the parade.

Talk about a blind squirrel finding a nut... They throw candy off the floats... The older kids catch the candy before it hits the ground but this sucker happened to roll right into his foot. He gladly picked it up and danced around with joy.
After Friday night we went to explore on the T-rex and have a camp out. Man it was fun.

Dalt and I have camped on this very ridge and explored most of this drainage. We went WAYYYYY up this time in the T-rex and linked some roads I have never been on.

 Rocco and Dylan.

Ash and I with Rocco on the camera!

 Camp right on the river.

I hooked a couple nice trout on a hopper but only landed Whiities on the dropper. Alas the curse continues. #wishihadmynet

Rolling around in the mud, blood and the beer...

 Liv swiped my chair.
 Camp.

 It's another WHITTY!!!!
Enjoy a few shots...

Thanks,
Chris Giles
