Somewhere Out West

Went out after work last week looking for some big fish in the Uintas.

Great weather but the water had dropped big time. The fish we saw were deep and covered as expected. It seems the free stones will get lower and lower as summer progresses...

 Dog daze...

We were rotating between three different set ups but the boot prints were everywhere we looked.

Dalt hooked a few but none were brought to hand.

Nice hike though... We covered some serious ground.

 The moon was out early.

Looks fishy but the water is low and the fish are holed up. The only fish we hooked were on the droppers...

 Great shot

What a difference a few weeks makes. This trip (yes skunked) reminds us that we need to take note of our calendars so we are hitting rivers in their peak condition. The fishing cycles are starting to make more sense and I see my "fishing calendar" filling up fast...

Cheers!
